Lak Si works best for specific types of renters. Airline crew and airport staff are the obvious fit, since Don Mueang is minutes away. Government employees working in the Chaeng Watthana complex will find it hard to beat the commute. Budget conscious expats who do not need to be in Sukhumvit every night will appreciate getting a modern one bedroom for under 10,000 baht. And small families who want a quieter, more residential neighborhood with actual space to breathe will find Lak Si far more livable than a cramped studio near Nana.

A couple I know recently relocated from a 28 square meter box in On Nut to a 55 square meter two bedroom in Lak Si.
