333 Riverside Bangkok: Iconic Tower Living — Full Renter's Review

Summary

Read our comprehensive 333 Riverside review to learn about amenities, location, pricing, and what makes this iconic tower Bangkok's premier rental choice.

If you have spent any time riding the Chao Phraya Express Boat or jogging along the riverfront, you have probably looked up at 333 Riverside and thought, "What would it be like to actually live there?" This twin tower development sitting right on the river in Bang Phlat has become one of Bangkok's most recognized residential landmarks. But does the reality match the Instagram photos? Let's break it all down in this 333 Riverside review so you can figure out if this condo is the right fit for your Bangkok life.

Location and Getting Around from 333 Riverside

333 Riverside sits on Ratchadaphisek Road in the Bang Phlat area, right on the Chao Phraya River's west bank. The nearest MRT station is Bang Pho on the Purple Line, roughly a 10 minute drive away. Honestly, this is the part that trips people up. You are not within walking distance of any train station, so if your daily commute depends on BTS or MRT, you will need a plan.

The development runs its own shuttle boat service to Sathorn Pier, which connects to BTS Saphan Taksin. During morning rush, that boat ride takes about 20 to 25 minutes and genuinely feels like a luxury commute. Imagine sipping coffee on a river shuttle while everyone else is stuck on Charoen Nakhon Road. That said, on days when the boat schedule does not align with yours, you are relying on Grab or your own car.

For weekend errands, Central Pinklao mall is about 10 minutes away by car. Tesco Lotus Rama VIII and a cluster of local restaurants on Soi Arun Amarin are also close. If you work in Silom or Sathorn, the shuttle boat is a genuine alternative. If you work in Asoke or Sukhumvit, this commute gets long. Be realistic about that before signing a lease.

The Units: What You Actually Get for Your Money

333 Riverside was developed by Sansiri and completed around 2016. The towers have a distinctive curved design that looks fantastic from the river but also means some units have slightly unconventional layouts. Most rental listings you will find are one bedroom units around 55 to 60 sqm, or two bedroom units ranging from 80 to over 100 sqm.

One bedroom units typically rent in the 25,000 to 40,000 THB per month range depending on floor, view, and furnishing quality. Two bedrooms go from around 40,000 to 65,000 THB. River view units command a clear premium, and honestly, they are worth it. Waking up to an unobstructed Chao Phraya view with barges drifting past at sunrise is the whole point of living here.

A friend of mine rented a two bedroom river view unit on the 28th floor for 52,000 THB per month. The ceiling height, natural light, and that panoramic view made it feel like a significantly more expensive property. The kitchens are compact but functional, which is standard for Sansiri projects in this price tier. Bathrooms are well finished with decent fixtures that have held up over the years.

Facilities and Day to Day Living

The facilities at 333 Riverside punch well above what you would expect. The infinity pool overlooking the river is the obvious highlight, and it really does look exactly like the photos. There is also a fully equipped gym, a yoga room, a kids' play area, and landscaped garden spaces along the riverfront promenade.

Common area maintenance is solid. The juristic team keeps things clean, the lobby feels polished, and security is tight with key card access throughout. One thing long term residents mention is that the building has aged gracefully. You do not get that tired, neglected feeling you sometimes encounter in condos that are seven or eight years old in Bangkok.

There is a small co working lounge area that a few remote workers in the building use regularly. One resident I spoke with works in fintech and said he splits his week between the co working space and a cafe at Central Pinklao. Not a bad setup if your company allows hybrid work and you do not need to be in a Sukhumvit office five days a week.

Who Should Actually Rent Here

333 Riverside is perfect for a specific type of renter. If you work from home or have a flexible schedule, if you value space and tranquility over nightlife proximity, or if your office is accessible via the river route, this place makes a lot of sense. Couples and small families particularly love it because the units feel spacious and the grounds are peaceful.

It is probably not the best fit if you are a young professional who wants to walk to Thonglor bars or needs quick MRT access to Petchaburi or Rama 9. The river location is the biggest selling point and the biggest limitation at the same time. You have to want that lifestyle specifically.

Expat families with kids at schools in the Pinklao or Taling Chan area find this location very convenient. The international school ISB on Nichada Thani side is also a reasonable drive from here compared to coming from the Sukhumvit corridor.

Is 333 Riverside Worth the Rent in 2024?

For the price per square meter, 333 Riverside still offers strong value compared to newer riverfront projects like The Residences at Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons Private Residences, which operate in a completely different price universe. You get genuine riverside living with quality Sansiri construction at mid range pricing. That is a combination that is hard to replicate elsewhere in Bangkok right now.

The building is mature enough that you can assess its real condition rather than relying on developer promises. What you see is what you get, and what you get is a well maintained, beautifully located condo with one of the best views in the city.
