If you've been hunting for a condo near On Nut BTS that won't destroy your monthly budget, Chambers On Nut has probably popped up on your radar. This project sits in one of Bangkok's most popular expat corridors, and it punches well above its weight for the price. I've walked through multiple units here, talked to tenants, and spent enough time in the On Nut area to give you the full picture. Here's my honest Chambers On Nut review.

Location and Getting Around from Chambers On Nut

Chambers On Nut is located on Sukhumvit Soi 81, which puts it roughly a 7 to 10 minute walk from On Nut BTS station. That's not doorstep access, but it's comfortable enough, especially if you're used to Bangkok's walking distances. Motorbike taxis line up at the soi entrance and will get you to the BTS in about two minutes for 10 to 20 baht.

The surrounding area is one of the best parts. On Nut has transformed over the past few years into a neighborhood that genuinely works for everyday living. Tesco Lotus On Nut is right there. Big C is walkable. Century The Movie Plaza sits across from the BTS. You have cheap Thai food stalls on Soi 77 and Soi 81, coffee shops scattered everywhere, and a Tops supermarket inside the mall.

For someone working in the Asoke or Phrom Phong office corridors, the commute is around 15 to 20 minutes by BTS. I know a marketing manager who moved here from a pricier condo near Thong Lo and said the commute added maybe five minutes to her morning but saved her 8,000 baht a month. That math works.

The Building and Facilities

Chambers On Nut was developed by SC Asset, one of Thailand's established developers. The building is a single tower project, completed around 2017, and it still looks clean and well maintained. The lobby is simple but modern. Nothing flashy, nothing embarrassing if you're bringing someone over.

Facilities include a rooftop pool, a basic gym, and a communal garden area. The pool is small, which is standard for a project at this price point. Don't expect an infinity edge overlooking the city. But it's clean and rarely overcrowded. The gym has enough equipment to cover your basics: treadmills, free weights, a cable machine. If you need a serious gym, there's a Jetts Fitness and a Fitness First near the BTS.

Security is keycard access throughout, with 24 hour guards at the lobby. Parking is available but limited, so if you own a car, confirm a spot before you sign. A friend of mine rented here and had to wait two weeks for a parking spot to open up, so plan ahead on that.

Unit Sizes, Layout, and Condition

Most units at Chambers On Nut fall into the one bedroom category, ranging from about 28 to 30 square meters. There are also some studio options around 22 to 24 square meters. If you need two bedrooms, this project does have a handful, but they're harder to find on the rental market.

The layouts are efficient. SC Asset did a decent job maximizing usable space, so the one bedrooms don't feel as cramped as some competitors in the area. Kitchens are compact, with a two burner electric stove and enough counter space to do basic cooking. Bathrooms have rain showers, which is a nice touch at this price range.

Finishing quality is mid tier. You'll find laminate flooring, built in wardrobes, and air conditioning units that actually work well. The walls are a bit thin, which is something I've heard from a couple of tenants. One guy on the 12th floor mentioned he could hear his neighbor's alarm clock some mornings. Not a dealbreaker, but something to know.

Rent Prices and Value for Money

This is where Chambers On Nut really shines. Studios here rent for approximately 7,000 to 9,000 baht per month. One bedroom units typically go for 9,000 to 13,000 baht, depending on the floor, furnishing, and how motivated the landlord is. Two bedroom units, when available, range from about 15,000 to 18,000 baht.

Compare that to something like Ideo Sukhumvit 93 or Elio Del Nest nearby, and you'll find Chambers is often 1,000 to 3,000 baht cheaper for a similar setup. A newly arrived English teacher I met at a co working space in On Nut signed a one bedroom here at 10,500 baht and was genuinely shocked at how much space he got versus what friends were paying near Ekkamai.

Electricity runs on the building's own meter, so expect to pay around 6 to 7 baht per unit, which is typical. Water is usually a flat 200 to 300 baht. Common area fees are covered by the owner in most rental agreements.

Who Is Chambers On Nut Best For?

This condo works best for budget conscious renters who still want to live in a proper building with real facilities near a BTS line. Young professionals, teachers, remote workers, and couples starting out in Bangkok will feel right at home here. It's not the place for someone who wants luxury finishes or a huge pool deck for weekend entertaining.

If you're someone who values location and savings over premium design, this is one of the strongest picks on the On Nut stretch of Sukhumvit. The neighborhood alone makes it worth considering, because On Nut gives you a real Bangkok living experience without the inflated rents of lower Sukhumvit.

Chambers On Nut is the kind of building that doesn't try to be more than it is, and that honesty is refreshing. It delivers a clean, functional, well located home at a price that lets you actually enjoy living in Bangkok instead of stressing over rent.
