Ideo Sukhumvit 115: Renter's Review of Bangkok's Southernmost BTS Condo

Summary

Ideo Sukhumvit 115 offers modern living at Bangkok's southernmost BTS station. This renter's review covers amenities, location perks, and why it's perfect

Most people hunting for condos along Sukhumvit stop their search somewhere around BTS Bearing. Maybe Samrong if they're feeling adventurous. But there's a whole stretch of the Green Line extension that keeps going south, and Ideo Sukhumvit 115 sits right at the tail end of it. This is Pu Chao station territory, one of the quietest corners of the BTS map, and it's exactly the kind of spot that budget conscious renters should have on their radar.

I spent a weekend checking this project out, talking to current tenants, and walking the neighborhood. Here's what I found.

Location: The Last Stop (Almost) Has Its Perks

Ideo Sukhumvit 115 is developed by Ananda and sits just a short walk from BTS Pu Chao Saming Phrai station. That's two stops past Samrong, deep into the Samut Prakan stretch of the Green Line. If you work in central Bangkok, you're looking at roughly 40 to 50 minutes to reach BTS Asok during rush hour. That's real talk, not developer brochure math.

But here's the thing. A friend of mine works at a logistics company near Bangna, and for her, this location is golden. She's a 15 minute BTS ride from work, pays half the rent she'd pay near BTS Udom Suk, and still has easy access to Mega Bangna for weekend shopping. Context matters when it comes to location, and not everyone's commute goes to Silom or Siam.

The immediate surroundings are more suburban than urban. There's a Big C nearby, a few local food stalls along Sukhumvit Road, and a morning market within walking distance. It's not the nightlife hub of Thonglor, obviously. But for daily living, you won't struggle to find what you need.

The Building and Unit Quality

Ananda builds solid mid range condos, and Ideo Sukhumvit 115 fits that description. The project was completed in 2019 and features two towers with a total of around 1,700 units. That's a big project, which means the common areas get heavy use. The lobby is clean and modern. The hallways feel well maintained. Security uses key card access at every entry point.

Units come in studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom configurations. Studios start at about 22 sqm, while one bedrooms sit around 30 to 35 sqm. The finishes are typical Ideo standard: laminate flooring, compact kitchenettes with an electric stove, and built in furniture that maximizes the small footprint. Bathrooms have rain showers in most units, which is a nice touch at this price point.

One tenant I spoke with, a Thai engineer who rents a one bedroom here, mentioned that noise between floors can be an issue. Thin walls are common in this price tier, and with 1,700 units, you'll occasionally hear your neighbors. He uses a white noise machine and says it's manageable, but it's something worth knowing before you sign.

Facilities: Surprisingly Competitive for the Price

This is where Ideo Sukhumvit 115 punches above its weight. The rooftop pool has a legitimately great view looking out over Samut Prakan, and it rarely feels overcrowded during weekday afternoons. There's a well equipped fitness center with free weights, cardio machines, and a functional training area.

You also get a co working space on a lower floor, which has become increasingly popular with remote workers. A digital nomad I met during my visit said she chose this condo specifically because the co working room has reliable Wi Fi and decent seating. She pays about 7,500 THB per month for a studio and works from the building three days a week. At that price, having a usable workspace included is a genuine advantage.

Other amenities include a garden area, a kids' zone, and a sky lounge. The management team seems responsive based on reviews from current residents, and common area maintenance appears consistent.

Rent Prices and Value for Money

Here's the real draw. Studios at Ideo Sukhumvit 115 rent for approximately 6,500 to 8,500 THB per month. One bedroom units range from about 8,000 to 12,000 THB. Two bedrooms can be found for 12,000 to 16,000 THB. These are some of the lowest rents you'll find for a relatively new condo with BTS access anywhere along the Sukhumvit line.

Compare that to a similar Ideo project near BTS On Nut, where studios start around 12,000 to 14,000 THB, and the savings become obvious. You're trading commute time for affordability, and for a lot of renters, especially those working in the Bangna or Samut Prakan area, that trade makes perfect sense.

Common fees run around 35 to 45 THB per sqm, and most landlords include them in the rental price. Always double check, though, because some listings separate them out to make the headline rent look lower.

Who Should Rent Here (And Who Shouldn't)

Ideo Sukhumvit 115 works best for renters who prioritize budget over location prestige. If you work in eastern Bangkok or Samut Prakan, commute times are reasonable and you'll save thousands of baht per month compared to renting closer to central Sukhumvit. It's also a solid choice for new expats still getting their bearings and wanting to keep costs low while they figure out Bangkok.

It's probably not the right fit if you need to be in Sathorn or Silom daily, or if you want walkable access to international restaurants and nightlife. The BTS ride gets long heading into central Bangkok, and this part of Sukhumvit still feels more like a Thai suburb than an expat neighborhood. That's not a negative for everyone, but it's important to set expectations.
