Knightsbridge Space Ladprao: North Bangkok MRT Full Review

Summary

Knightsbridge Space Ladprao review reveals a top-rated North Bangkok rental offering spacious units, excellent MRT access, and resident-friendly facilities

If you've been scanning the north Bangkok rental market, Knightsbridge Space Ladprao has probably already popped up on your radar. Sitting right at MRT Phahon Yothin, this KPN Land development pulls in a steady crowd of young professionals, couples, and expats working in the Chatuchak and Ladprao corridor. But is it actually worth signing a lease here? I've walked the halls, checked out the facilities, and talked to tenants. Here's the full picture.

Location and MRT Access: The Biggest Selling Point

Let's get the obvious out of the way. Knightsbridge Space Ladprao connects directly to MRT Phahon Yothin station, and when I say directly, I mean you walk out the lobby and you're practically at the entrance. That alone puts it in a different category from most condos along Ladprao Road.

From Phahon Yothin station, you're two stops from MRT Chatuchak Park and the interchange with BTS Mo Chit. That gives you a clean transfer to the Sukhumvit line without ever sitting in a taxi on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road during rush hour. If you work at a Silom or Asoke office, your commute is roughly 30 to 40 minutes door to door.

Imagine you land a job at one of the offices near MRT Rama 9 or at the CentralPlaza Grand Rama 9 area. That's literally three stops south. No Grab, no sweat. On weekends, Chatuchak Weekend Market is a quick walk or one MRT stop away. Union Mall and Central Ladprao are both within a five to ten minute radius on foot, so daily errands never feel like a project.

Unit Types, Sizes, and What You'll Actually Pay

Knightsbridge Space Ladprao offers studios and one bedroom units, with sizes ranging from about 24 to 35 square meters. These are compact by any standard, but the layouts are reasonably efficient. KPN Land managed to avoid the worst sin of Bangkok micro condos, which is wasting half the space on a hallway that leads nowhere.

Studios here start at around 10,000 to 13,000 THB per month for unfurnished or basic furnished options. A fully furnished studio in good condition on a higher floor typically goes for 12,000 to 15,000 THB. One bedroom units sit in the 14,000 to 19,000 THB range depending on floor level, furniture quality, and whether the landlord has renovated.

Here's a real scenario. A friend of mine, an English teacher working near MRT Lat Phrao, rented a 29 sqm one bedroom on the 18th floor for 15,500 THB per month. Fully furnished, city view facing north, decent built in wardrobe. He said the only issue was the tiny kitchen counter, but he eats out five days a week anyway. For a single renter or a couple who don't cook elaborate meals, the size works fine.

Facilities and Building Condition

The rooftop pool is the highlight here. It's not enormous, but it offers open views toward the Chatuchak area and gets good afternoon sun without being a furnace. There's a gym on the same level that covers the basics. Treadmills, free weights, a cable machine, and a few benches. It won't replace a Fitness First membership if you're serious about lifting, but for cardio and maintenance workouts, it does the job.

The lobby is modern and kept clean, and there's 24 hour security with keycard access on every floor. Co working spaces and a small library lounge area give you a backup spot if your WiFi goes down or you just need a change of scenery for a Zoom call.

One thing I noticed on my last visit is that the common areas are aging gracefully but not perfectly. The building was completed around 2019, so it's past that brand new honeymoon phase. Some of the pool furniture has seen better days, and the elevator wait times during morning rush (around 7:30 to 8:30 AM) can test your patience. It's a 30 plus story building with high occupancy, so factor that in.

The Neighborhood Beyond the MRT

Living at Knightsbridge Space Ladprao puts you in a neighborhood that feels more local than the typical expat zones of Sukhumvit or Silom. That's a plus or minus depending on your personality. Street food along Ladprao Soi 15 to Soi 23 is excellent and cheap, with pad kra pao plates going for 50 to 60 THB.

For groceries, Tops Market inside Central Ladprao is a short walk, and there's a Big C Extra on Ladprao Road as well. International restaurants are fewer compared to Thonglor or Ekkamai, but the variety has been growing steadily. A colleague who lives nearby swears by a Japanese ramen shop on Ladprao Soi 19 that rivals anything on Sukhumvit Soi 33.

The area is also noticeably quieter at night than lower Sukhumvit. If you want a calmer pace without being stuck in the suburbs, this stretch of Ladprao hits a nice balance.

Who Should Rent Here and Who Shouldn't

Knightsbridge Space Ladprao is ideal for solo renters and couples who prioritize transit access and value for money over space. If your office is anywhere along the MRT Blue Line, this building deserves serious consideration. It's also a solid pick for anyone who wants to live near Chatuchak without paying Ari or Saphan Khwai prices, which have crept up noticeably in the past two years.

It's not the best fit if you need a two bedroom unit, want a bathtub, or require a large kitchen for serious cooking. Families with kids will also find the unit sizes too restrictive, and the immediate area lacks international schools within walking distance.
