Life Asoke: Full Renter's Review — Prices, Layout, and What Living There Is Really Like
Everything you need to know about renting at Life Asoke, Bangkok's premier residential tower.

Summary
Life Asoke is a luxury Bangkok condominium offering modern apartments with excellent amenities. Read our full renter's review covering prices, layouts, and
Life Asoke sits right at one of Bangkok's busiest intersections, and if you've spent any time searching for a condo in this area, you've probably seen it pop up more than once. It's one of those buildings that looks great on paper. Modern design, solid location, reasonable price point. But what is it actually like to live there? I've walked through the units, talked to tenants, and spent enough time in the Asoke area to give you the full picture.
Location and Getting Around from Life Asoke
Life Asoke is on Asoke Montri Road, just off the intersection with Ratchadaphisek. You're about a five minute walk to MRT Phetchaburi station, and Makkasan ARL station is roughly the same distance in the other direction. That ARL connection is a genuine perk if you travel frequently, since it links you straight to Suvarnabhumi Airport without dealing with expressway traffic.
BTS Asoke and MRT Sukhumvit are a bit further, roughly a 10 to 12 minute walk or a quick motorcycle taxi ride for about 20 to 30 baht. Some renters find that distance perfectly fine. Others, especially those commuting daily to Silom or Siam, might prefer something right on top of the BTS. It depends on your routine.
Day to day, you have Terminal 21 within walking distance for shopping and food courts. The Asoke area is packed with restaurants, 7-Elevens, pharmacies, and street food stalls. A friend of mine who rented here for a year said she barely used the BTS because everything she needed was already within a 10 minute radius on foot.
Unit Layouts and What You Actually Get
Life Asoke was developed by AP Thai and completed around 2017. The building offers studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom units. Studios start at around 26 sqm, one bedrooms are typically 30 to 35 sqm, and two bedrooms come in at roughly 50 to 60 sqm. These are not huge spaces, but for Bangkok condo standards in this price range, they're competitive.
The studios and one bedrooms are functional but tight. You get a small kitchen counter with an electric stovetop, a bathroom with a rain shower, and enough room for a proper bed and a work desk. If you're someone who works from home, the one bedroom gives you a bit more breathing room with a separated living area.
One thing I noticed during walkthroughs is that the higher floors have solid views toward the city skyline. Lower floors face other buildings, which is common in this part of Asoke. If views matter to you, ask specifically for a unit above the 20th floor. The finishing quality is decent. Not luxury grade, but everything works and the design feels clean and modern. If you're comparing options in this neighborhood, our guide to the best condos for rent in Asoke covers several alternatives worth considering.
Rental Prices at Life Asoke
Rental prices here are reasonable for the Asoke area, which is one of the main reasons the building stays popular. Studios typically go for 12,000 to 16,000 THB per month. One bedroom units range from 15,000 to 22,000 THB depending on the floor, furnishing, and whether the landlord has renovated. Two bedrooms usually land between 25,000 and 35,000 THB.
These numbers can shift depending on the season and how long the unit has been vacant. I've seen one bedrooms listed at 18,000 that were negotiated down to 15,500 for a 12 month lease. Landlords in this building tend to be flexible, especially if you're signing for a full year. For a broader look at what's typical across the city, check out our overview of Bangkok condo rental prices.
Common area fees and electricity are usually on top of rent. Expect to pay around 2,000 to 4,000 THB monthly for utilities depending on how much air conditioning you use.
Facilities and the Actual Living Experience
The rooftop pool is the highlight. It's not massive, but it has a good view and rarely feels overcrowded on weekday mornings. There's a gym on the same level that covers the basics. Treadmills, free weights, and a few resistance machines. If you're serious about lifting, you might still want a nearby gym membership, but for casual workouts it gets the job done.
The lobby has 24 hour security and key card access. There's a co-working lounge on one of the lower floors, which a couple I know used regularly when they were both working remotely. They said it was a nice change from being stuck in a 30 sqm studio all day.
One common complaint I've heard from tenants is noise. Asoke Montri Road is not quiet, and units facing the main road can pick up traffic sounds, especially during rush hours. If you're a light sleeper, request a unit facing the inner side of the building. That alone makes a noticeable difference.
Who Is Life Asoke Best For?
This building works well for young professionals, solo expats, and couples who want to be near the Asoke and Ratchadaphisek area without paying Sukhumvit Soi 19 prices. It's also a smart pick for anyone who uses the Airport Rail Link regularly. Families with kids might feel the units are too compact, and there are better options along Sukhumvit with more space and playground facilities.
If you're the type who wants a newer building with a decent pool, a central location, and rent that stays under 20,000 for a one bedroom, Life Asoke checks those boxes. It's not the fanciest condo on the block, but it delivers solid value for what you pay.
