Condos for Rent Near Central Bangkok: All Branches, Prices and Options
Find your ideal condo near Central shopping malls across Bangkok with our complete guide to locations, prices and amenit

Summary
Discover condos for rent near Central malls throughout Bangkok. Compare prices, locations and options across all branches for your perfect home.
You're scrolling through job offers, and one of them is based at Central World or one of the other Central department stores scattered around Bangkok. Or maybe you just love shopping at Central, grabbing coffee at one of the ground floor cafes, and you want to cut your commute down to nothing. Finding a condo near Central makes total sense, and honestly, it's one of the smartest rental moves you can make in this city. The thing is, Central has multiple branches across Bangkok, and each one has completely different neighborhoods, different vibes, and wildly different rental prices attached to them. Let me walk you through what's actually available near each major Central location, what you should realistically expect to pay, and how to figure out which one actually fits your life.
Central World: The Chaotic Heart of Shopping and Sky Trains
Central World is the big one. It's downtown Bangkok, it's massive, it's where everyone goes, and it's right next to the Chit Lom BTS station. If you want to live walking distance from here, you're looking at the Pathum Wan area, and here's the truth: it's expensive. You're paying for convenience and location, not for space or quiet.
Condos like The Lofts Silom and Ashton Chula Silom are within easy reach, and you're looking at anywhere from 35,000 to 55,000 baht per month for a one-bedroom, depending on the building and floor. The higher you go, obviously, the more you pay. Buildings right on Phetchburi Road or Wireless Road will run you even more. If you want something slightly cheaper, head towards Ratchadamri where it dips down to around 28,000 to 40,000 baht, but you're still talking about solid locations with decent amenities.
Real talk: you'll be living in noise. Phetchburi Road is never quiet. You'll have traffic sounds, construction, the general Bangkok chaos. But you'll also have everything within 10 minutes on foot. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets, your work.
Central Festival and Central Bangna: The Eastern Stretch
If you're working at Central Festival in the Phetchaburi area or you just prefer the eastside vibe, this is your play. It's less chaotic than Central World, which already puts it ahead in my book. The Sukhumvit line runs right past it via the Phetchaburi or Sena Nikhom stations depending on which Central Festival you mean.
Living near here means you can look at Phetchaburi condos, and prices drop noticeably compared to Central World. You're looking at 25,000 to 40,000 baht for a one-bedroom in decent buildings. Places like Lumpini Condominiums or older buildings in that soi 38/40 range go even cheaper, around 18,000 to 28,000 baht, though you might be looking at older finishes and smaller units.
Central Bangna is further out, near the Bang Na BTS station, which honestly feels like a different city. Rentals there drop even more, down to 15,000 to 30,000 baht depending on the building. It's quieter, more family-oriented, fewer expats, but you're also looking at longer commutes if you're going anywhere else in Bangkok. It really depends on whether you want quiet living or central access.
Central Pattana and Rama 9: The Newer Developments
Central Pattana near the Rama 9 station is actually kind of underrated. It's newer, it's modern, and it hasn't gotten picked over as heavily as Central World. The neighborhood around Rama 9 is still developing, so you get that sweet spot where prices are reasonable but infrastructure is actually decent.
One-bedrooms here run around 22,000 to 38,000 baht depending on how close you want to be to the shopping center itself. Buildings like Klass Petchkasem are in that 20,000 to 32,000 range. You get more space for your money compared to Central World, and the BTS connection is solid. The tradeoff is fewer restaurants and bars within immediate walking distance, but it's getting better every year.
The area around Rama 9 is genuinely quieter at night. You can actually sleep without Bangkok traffic as your white noise machine. That matters to a lot of people, especially if you work irregular hours.
Central Salaya and Central Plaza: The Suburban Reality
Central Salaya out in Nakhon Pathom and Central Plaza locations further from the city center exist, but let's be honest, you're not really living near Central anymore at that point. You're just shopping at Central when you drive out there. Rentals are cheaper for sure, down to 12,000 to 25,000 baht for decent one-bedrooms, but your commute to actual Bangkok is brutal.
I'd only recommend these if you specifically work out in those areas. Otherwise, you're spending what you save on rent just in transportation costs and time.
Picking Your Central Location and Finding Your Actual Condo
Here's how to decide: what's your actual priority. Is it walking distance to work and shopping. That's Central World, accept the cost and the noise. Is it balance between price and access. Central Pattana or the Phetchaburi locations make sense. Is it keeping costs down while staying in Bangkok. Central Bangna or the further locations if you're willing to commute.
Once you've picked your Central, you need to actually find available units. Building websites are sometimes updated, sometimes not. Real estate agents in the area will show you places, but they take commissions. Superagent.co actually makes this easier because you can search by location, filter by price, see photos and floor plans from one place, and then contact landlords directly without going through an agent if you want to.
The rental market near Central shifts. New buildings open, old ones get renovated, prices adjust. Whatever you're looking at online today might be gone next week or might drop 5,000 baht next month if the landlord gets desperate. Check Superagent to see what's actually available right now in your price range near whichever Central you're targeting, and don't wait too long on anything good.
